After researching for even longer, I've finally got something of (minimal) value on whatever NHK means.
First off, two dead ends: A Light Novel/Manga/Anime series named "Welcome to the NHK", and a real Japanese TV Station called NHK. As you can imagine, these things have nothing to do with me.
The final thing is a very obscure corporation that was in business during World War II. Now, I am not quite sure why this rings a bell so much with me. It's just like all of my other "memories", just strange fragments and suggestions of things. The only info I got was from a scan of a document of sorts. All I got out of it was that it exists. What it was about, and why I can't get any good info on it I'm still trying to figure out.
