Truth of the moon

I'm not quite sure how to start this off to be fully honest with you. This whole thing just makes no sense.

First off, "Moon" is quite obviously not my real name. Well, I'm pretty sure it's not my name, I don't really remember. I don't really remember anything. It's not as simple as "I forgot the past few days", I literally remember nothing but a few bits and pieces of things. I woke up in a forest today, and that is basically where my comprehensible memory starts. Before that, I have odd fragments of things. I remember some faces, but no names, some strange out of place events that have no rhyme or reason.

Anyways, after I woke up and looked around a bit, I noticed that there was a camera on the ground. I absent-mindedly picked it up and groggily stumbled around in this forest for a bit. I somehow managed to find my way to this house. I knocked on the door, and no one was here. The door was unlocked, so I came in. I promptly fell asleep on the floor.
After I woke up feeling a bit better, there was still no one here. It was then I realized that that camera I picked up had been recording for quite some time, so I shut it off. I checked around a bit, and found this computer.

I now understand that this house belongs to someone named James, as does this blog. I also understand that, judging by the previous few posts, something has happened to him. I also can't help but think this blog has something to do with me, I'm not sure why. Just another odd memory fragment.

Now, at first I thought the obvious: Am I James? The answer to that is no, after looking around on this computer I've found some pictures of him, and he does not look like me. So, I guess I'll be using this blog as something. A search for my identity, I guess.

I am so sorry.

You won't have to forgive me, for I will be gone soon.

You will understand.

I promise

Watching the tapes, part 4

Tape ten has the two entering the woods for their investigation of the symbols. This tape is almost nothing but walking and talking, however right at the end of it they find a tree with another symbol on it. Andrew (he is holding the camera) notices it and points it out to Sam, who is silent. He asks Sam what the problem is, and he turns around. There is a man standing far away. He is wearing a black jacket with a white shirt, has black gloves on, has a strange mask on, and he is holding a knife. The pulsing effect from the other tapes starts here.

Now, as I look at this man here in the tape, I get the two unlabeled tapes now. This man was following them.
And I can't believe what I'm seeing here, but there's no other way to put it. The man is levitating a camera beside him. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that is exactly what I'm seeing. It also explains the floating effect in the other tapes as well.

Tape eleven seems to be a continuation of the previous one. The two are running through the woods, but they have gotten lost. The two are babbling incoherently to each other. Eventually, there is some static, and it is suddenly night time. Sam grabs the camera, and looks around to find Andrew not around anywhere. He has no idea what direction to go, so he goes in a random direction. He keeps calling out for Andrew. Eventually, he comes up to the same tree as before, with the symbol on it. The tree has a hole in it, and there is blood in the hole. He later finds Andrew dead, and...I'm not even going to describe anything. You can imagine it, and I really feel sick just thinking about it now. Sam turns in fear, and suddenly a person in a brown hoodie jumps out of nowhere. It is definitely not the same person as before. Sam runs in the other direction, and a person in a black hoodie is standing in that direction. The man in the jacket as previously mentioned appears as well. Sam tries to run away, but he seems to run into an invisible wall. The pulsing effect shows up when he hits it. He turns around and the three people are walking towards him. The tape turns to static and there is a very loud distorted sound. The tape then cuts to Sam lying on the ground, now in the daytime. His body doesn't look at all damaged, however. There is a bright flash of light, and then the tape ends.

No...this isn't right.

Something has gone horribly wrong here.

Watching the tapes, part 3

Tape eight is the two boys planning a trip into the woods, to see if any more symbols of the sort have showed up. Andrew thinks that they should pack some survival stuff, whereas Sam doesn't think they'll be in there that long. They agree to go during the day, and to pack some things in case they get lost.

Tape nine (?) is another unlabeled tape. It has the same exact "pulsating" effect as before. Whoever is holding the camera is in the woods (I'm guessing the ones that Sam and Andrew are going to) and is walking around very slowly. Same "weird floating effect" as before too. The person eventually stops at a tree. He (not sure of gender so I'll just say he until I figure out who is recording this) reaches toward the tree with a knife, and very slowly etches the same symbol that was on a tree before into the one he stopped at. The person seems to be wearing a black jacket of some sort with black gloves. The pulsing effect gets really strong here, there is some static, and then it cuts to outside Sam's house again. The tape ends here.

I didn't watch any more tapes today, I had some things to do. I'm...more than a little creeped out by tape nine, just because I have no idea what is going on in it. I thought tape seven was just a bit of weird glitched up footage, but with this I'm not sure.

Watching the tapes, part 2

Four more tapes watched today, here they are.

Tape four starts with Sam waiting for Andrew to get to his house. He sits and points the camera at the ground for a long time, in a very smart usage of tape. Andrew arrives and, surprise, the tape is almost out, so they have to switch it.

Tape five is a direct continuation of the previous one, with the two going to play some more games. This goes on for a while. In the middle of this, they bring up the topic of the woods outside Sam's house. Sam states that someone scratched a "weird logo" on a tree. Andrew wants to take a look at it, to they go outside after finishing their game. The tape is almost out again.

Tape six has the two going outside and taking a look at the odd tree. The tree has been dead for a while, by the looks of things. The symbol is that of a stylized tree with an eye in it. By "stylized" I mean a triangle with a line at the bottom of it.

This next tape I'm going to call "tape seven", however this one has no label and looked very haphazardly put there. Whoever is holding the camera is walking around Sam's house. There is no sound at all, so I really can't say anything about it, just wandering around. The whole thing has this bizarre "pulsating colors" thing. I really can't explain the way it looks, like pools of red and black kind of "pulsing" through the footage. It looks really weird for a video glitch. On top of that, the camera, while it is moving, is very strangely smooth in it's movements, none of the shakiness you'd expect from a handheld camera, more like if it were on wheels or something. It is in the middle of a really grassy area, so you'd expect at least a little bit of shakiness to it.

While tape seven is a bit bizarre, there is still nothing too off here. I'd be a little worried about the symbol being left by a gang or something, but maybe I'm paranoid.

Watching the tapes, part 1

I watched a few of the tapes in the box. So far, nothing abnormal, aside from frequent odd video glitches.

The first tape is of two young boys, both seeming to be in the 14-15 range. They both talk to the camera, stating that they are recording on it for fun, to keep records of their day-to-day activities. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The second tape is of the two kids talking outside. They talk about video games, TV and other such things for about 10 minutes. This conversation reveals their names: Sam and Andrew. They decide that it's really hot out and go inside. There is a strange glitch here, when they open the door to the house, the video jitters a bit, and it shows them opening the door again. The rest is just the two playing some video games.

The third tape, the last one I watched, is just Sam on his computer alone. Nothing else. Normally, I'd say the camera was left on, but the whole tape is nothing but this, so I guess he just really likes recording himself.

There is a surprising amount of tapes in this box. I'm starting to wonder why this was in a closet in an old police station, and why the box is marked "evidence".

A start of a new project.

Hello everyone. I am James. I've created this blog as a log of my investigation of sorts. There is an abandoned police station very near to my house. It, of course, is a local attraction of teenagers who want to be scared, going to the abandoned scary place at night. It is often considered "haunted" due to a local myth that a young boy was killed there. I went there yesterday (not at night, I really wouldn't want to), and I searched around. Most of the time people do not bother to look very far into there, they generally are satisfied with running away at the thought of the place being "haunted" or something. I went into some of the rooms, only to find a small closet that looked unopened. I opened it and found a large box. The box was labeled "Evidence for case (scratched off and unreadable)". This has perked my curiosity, mostly due to the legends. It will probably be nothing, but hey, it's fun to play detective sometimes, isn't it?
